Have you heard of RSS or seen those small funny orange tags on websites?
Wouldn't it be nice if you could check for updates of all your favorite blogs, online newspapers and other regularly-updated sites by visiting one simple page? That's the beauty of RSS, Really Simple Syndication.
You may have noticed that some of your favorite websites have little orange icons that look like this:![]()
In the information world, RSS is not only revolutionalizing the way news, media and content creators share information, but it also is swiftly changing the way everyday users are consuming information.
It takes time to visit sites and scour the ad-filled and image-heavy pages for just the text you want to read, doesn’t it?
Thing #10 focuses on learning about RSS news feeds and what free tools you can use to do this.

Technorati is a popular blog finding tool that lets you search for blogs. Since RSS feeds are inherent to all blogging tools, Technorati Blog Search can help you find RSS feeds for topic specific blogs you may be interested in.
So, to complete Thing #10:
Using your Gmail account you have already created, visit Google Reader and subscribe to at least 5 newsfeeds to your reader.
Create a blog post reflecting on the following question:
